9th December 2007 was the day; the ROLLED cluster witnessed the baby dedication of baby Reuel. It was not intentionally planned for but the Lord has His timing as this day marked baby Reuel’s 40th day, which is a significant day in the bible. It always signifies the birth of a new thing – TRANSFORMATION.

The baby dedication started off with Pastor Eugene leading the ROLLED cluster to testify God’s goodness with the song, “God is so good”. This was followed by the testimonies of Pastor Roland and Pastor Lai Fun as they testify God’s grace and hands of protection upon baby Reuel. Despite a threatened miscarriage, they continued to claim Psalm 139 over baby Reuel. God came true for them and baby Reuel was delivered on the 30th October 2007 victoriously.

As the ROLLED cluster witnessed in anticipation, Pastor Roland and Pastor Lai Fun dedicated baby Reuel to the LORD, confessing with their mouths that baby Reuel will grow to be a God-fearing man, used by the LORD to bring transformation to the people around him, the community, Singapore and even the nations beyond.

With baby Reuel dedicated to the LORD, Pastor Julie went on to share with the ROLLED cluster the significance behind baby’s name as Reuel (Friend of God). Pastor Julie echoes the heartbeat of Pastor Roland and Pastor Lai Fun over baby Reuel as she shared that a friend of God simply means to have the FAITH like Abraham, the FEAR of the LORD and the FELLOWSHIP with the LORD.

With this, Pastor Eugene and Pastor Julie led the ROLLED cluster to prayer for Pastor Roland, Pastor Lai Fun and baby Reuel declaring that baby Reuel will grow up to be a friend of God who is always thankful, always victorious and always a blessing.

Indeed, this is not the concern of only Pastor Roland and Pastor Lai Fun. This is the concern of the ROLLED cluster. After all, it takes a whole tribe to raise a child.

Congratulations to Pastors Roland and Lai Fun on the delivery of Reuel Lee Kai En on 30/Oct/2007 at 4:43PM! Reuel weighed in at 2.685Kg and was 47cm when he was delivered.

Looks like its baby boom in our cluster this period, as another baby was delivered on 30/Sep/2007 at 9:38AM. The proud parents are Lim Yong Chin and Clarissa, and the baby was 3.445kg and 48cm at birth. Congratulations!

More baby blessings to our tribe! Yesterday (19/Sep/2007) Shirley Foo gave birth to Baby Asher at 2:05PM! Asher was 2.6Kg and 49cm at birth. Congratulations to Shirley and Yong Howe!

A new life has joined our family yesterday (13/Sep/2007) at 10:52AM! She is none other than Hoy Zhen Ying, weighing in at 2.905Kg and 49cm at birth, born to Gladys and Derrick Hoy. Let’s give her our welcome and blessings!

6th Jan, the 6th day of the victory year 2007.

HALLELUJAH!!!

My uncle received Christ at the Lighthouse Evangelism Church. This salvation comes with great price and in the Lord’s perfect timing. My brother and I brought him to the miracle healing service as my uncle is terminally ill with last stage lung cancer.

My uncle has always been a staunch Taoist throughout his life and is just a simple man. He is one of the heartlanders you find at the kopitiam but never tied down by his age of 70. He goes for walk everyday and still works as a garang guni man. Life is still great till the haze clouded our sky. His condition deteriorated and began coughing out blood. The doctor diagnosed it is cancer and in its last stage. Worse, he has less than 3 months to live.

Thank God for allowing him to receive Christ in time. He is still able to speak briefly to confess his salvation with his own words. Shortly thereafter that week, he is admitted to the hospital and condition began to worsen even further. My uncle is one with lots of determination and desire to live than anyone I’ve known.

On the hospital bed, my aunties and other relatives heard him calling and crying out for the Lord Jesus. He is literally asking for God to heal him and grant him strength to stand up and live again. This does not happen once or twice but many times that my mother called me to go and minister to my uncle. He kept persuading me to call the pastor or my cell to go and pray for my uncle.

Overnight, everyone in my extended family knows I am a Christian and being made “famous”. Jesus Christ is now the talk of the town during my mum phone conversation with my relatives. Every time when I visited my uncle, my relatives will give me some “airtime” to talk and pray for my uncle. Please note that they still recognize Buddha as their god, but now they give some space for the Holy Spirit to come in.

Even as you read this testimony of the Lord’s grace and love, I just came back from visiting my uncle. The doctor has announced that 48 hours is the maximum time left for him. Everyone has gathered by his bedside, attending and speaking to him. I don’t know what will become of him, although I know death is not a sad thing for us as my uncle is leaving this painful place for the Lord’s loving arms.

I am praying and desiring to see God works mightily and miraculously. I hope that my uncle will die and resurrect again, he will stand up and testify that Jesus is Lord. No one can stop him and God now. Haha, Halleujah!!!

Lastly, I am also blessed, humbled and thankful of God’s deep deep deep enduring love for us. It’s all by grace and God alone that my uncle receives Christ. I didn’t do anything but only fetch him to the house of God at the Lord’s divine timing and place. It is the Holy Spirit who grants salvation, we can’t do anything and neither do we deserve it. We only deserve death. But Jesus Christ has been the death for us that we can have Life.

LORD, YOU ARE GOD.

Anyway…now proudly present to u my girl friend from Cambodia. She’s Juan colleague and has been working in the Embassy for 6 years liao (waaahhhh…) Her name is Chan Thy (Ooops! nearly forgot to intro her…hai, I still the same…).
 
[Side-track]Discovery:
Juan found that the girls here are so, so, so, small in size. The girls that Juan met are not more than 1.6m (BloGina…u can find comfort here). [another side-track: BloGina, Chan Thy says that u look like them leh… cos’ u’re d*r*]. Anyway, Juan looks like a giant standing with them *sob sob*
 

Thank God for blessing this friendship with Chan Thy. She’s the same age as Juan, young and pretty as Juan…but fairer than Juan.. There’s always a purpose for God to put friendship together. God uses her to reveal to Juan on the G12 vision that Juan has not see it, which she’s still trying not to see it/understand with her own intellectual or logical reasoning but thru spiritual eyes. A simple question of ‘Can Juan be Chan Thy’s friend FOREVER’ scared Juan off for quite a moment. Juan did not have the courage to commit to this question as it would means commitment, life-time guarantee, no turning back!!! Then, Juan felt that an angel and a devil were wrestling on this topic in her mind…God reminded Juan that she has asked to see the land and now he has let her see it, and next, to see is to possess it! Juan already have a heart for Chan Thy and wanting to minister to her. It’s the right time!! Pls pray along with Juan that Chan Thy will receive her salvation.

BTW, Juan may come back S’pore in Dec (if leave approve) with Chan Thy. Precious, pls lay red carpet for us!!

Interesting Discovery:
2 meows just outside Juan’s hotel (juan staying at the 3^rd flr). Juan wondered 2 things:

1)      how the meow manage to climb onto the roof?

2)      What did the white meow want to do with the spot meow?

Finally, after taking pictures, Juan thought that it would be wiser to close the windows. In case the meows decided to do any stunt by jumping into Juan’s room.

HELO!!!

Thank God for all ur prayers!!! Today my higher boss approve to increase my accomodation budget leh!! Thx God for his grace!!! Fri I’m goin to move into a “ÚP” place – A servcie apartment!!!  hahaa…shiok rite?? It cost ard US$500/mth, aft discount is US$420 leh… but hor.. excluding elect charges. y leh? cos’ Cambodia elect charges is v expensive ma.. but PRAISE GOD again..my higher boss agree to pay for the elect charges too… Now, I know y I waited so long to come to Cambodia…God used 1 year to do all the preparation..he paved out sui sui for me cos’ he has gone b4 me and now, I jus need to walk by his side..

Today Juan met the ambassador of spore… Juan was not prepared for any of his questions leh so Juan dun even understd the reply she gave to Mr Ambassador. But thx God for his grace, Ambassador’s face seems to lighten up wen Juan shared tt her church been to Cambodia for mission work…

Time seems to fly v fast for juan…cos’juan too bz to miss her frenz & family… Juan’s calculated tt she will settle down wen she moved into her ‘UP’ apartment wer there are windows (unlike the current one wic is like prision). But her lease for her  ‘ÚP’ apartment with windows is only for 2 mths…NOT TO WORRY…cos’ she will move into a ’UP’ ‘UP’ & ‘UP’ apartment with more windows, a balcony, a living hall & 3 BR in Sept. The feeling is shiok shiok & shiok eh…

Ah juan will end her story here. Ah juan will assure tt she will submit her monthly report timely to her spiritual ‘management’.
