This was an especially meaningful time for Ps Lai Fun celebrating her birthday this year. We were both very touched to see her sister rushing home to “catch” us before we left for g12 meeting just to be able to celebrate her birthday with a very nice chocolate cake. The whole thing lasted about 5 mins but it meant a lot to us. Pse continue to pray that Elyn, the lady on the left in blue will come to know Christ! Posted by Picasa

This is a special month for us – Celebrating our 3rd wedding anniversay on 22 March. Would you pray a prayer of blessing for us? That God will continue to use us to fulfill His purposes for the work of His kingdom! Posted by Picasa

The thoughts below are extracted by Christian author, Chuck Colson.

“Worldview is not some lofty academic subject. It is intensely practical … what you believe about the world and life determines how you live.”

All of life is under the lordship of Christ, and therefore, we have been given two commissions: the Great Commission, to make disciples, baptize them, and teach them all Jesus has taught us; and the Cultural Commission, to be fruitful, multiply, take dominion, and restore a fallen creation.

Biblical worldview, raises four questions:
Where did we come from?
Why is the world in a mess?
Is there any way out?
What is my purpose?
To number one, the Christian answers, “God created us;” to number two, “the fall;” to number three, “redemption by Christ;” and to the fourth question, “restoration of society.”

Every worldview answers these four questions differently. For example, a New Ager believes that God did not create us, but that we are part of God. The secularist does not believe in sin or the fall – rather that people are good – so it is society and its institutions that are corrupt and need to be fixed.

Examine your own worldview today – Do you know what you are living for?

The opposition between faith & sight is brought out by Paul in 2 Cor 5:7 “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” If we walk by sight, we do not need faith. If we walk by faith, we do not need sight. Each excludes the other.

This is contrary to our natual way of thinking. The world says, “Seeing is believing.” But the Bible reverses the order: first we must believe, then we will see. There is an ongoing tension between faith & sight. Our old nature is at home in the world of the senses, and it demands to see. As Christians, we need to cultivate the new nature, which is able to trust God and His word without demanding other evidence.

Prayer is the “language” where faith is expressed.
