To me, the most important thing I learnt about going to an Encounter is really having a heart that is prepared to receive everything that comes from God and even just having a simple heart that desires and hunger for him. Like what Paster Rol taught, it’s very important to WANT, as in I REALLY REALLY WANT. It determines how much God will speak/show you. Oh yea!!
This Encounter for me was an enjoyable one as God’s presence was really strong, throughout worship and the sessions. Of course it’s not only during Encounter that we meet God but meeting Him should be a daily affair. During the Encounter, God seemed to speak to me in a deeper way compared to the previous Encounter. It was just different. He seemed to speak more than allowing me to experience more.
The session that left the deepest impression on me is “God Working on The Inside”. When i was being filled by the Holy Spirit, God seemed to show me a vision. I kind of like saw kids in Africa smiling broadly despite being poorly dressed. He also allowed me to feel even just a bit of the pain He felt towards them. I started crying for them. Imagine how God’s heart must have really hurt if i already felt so much pain. Even though i don’t know what God is trying to tell me, but i guess he’ll reveal it slowly.
During this Encounter, I believe I’m not the one who received so much. The Lord, our Heavenly Father, promises that He will give us more than what our earthly father can give, so if we really hunger for it, He will not hold back.
Parting will come and it is always sad. After 3 days 2 nights of bonding, it’s natural that there will be an unwillingness to leave but i believe after this Encounter, not only will my life be changed, but also the lives of each and every single person in the Encounter for they will know how real God is in their lives. AMEN.
Let us continue walking in his way to glorify Him in all that we do!!X)

From this encounter i have deeply learnt about sin, baptism and God’s love. What i know of sin is that it is a debt. A debt that none of us can pay back, but it is paid by our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ.
Baptism is a mark of obedience, discipline and to let our old self die and rise in our new self.
Our heavenly Father truly and really loves us. From what i know, He sent his one and only son Jesus to die for us and clear our sins. God’s deep love for us is not juz simply saying that He love us but it really MEANS that He loves us…
IÂ was touched by God a few times in the camp. This camp is good because we are encountering God there!! I enjoyed myself there too!!!

Back from my third encounter. Though I knew most of the programmes and stuff going on, I just never seem to get tired. I just feel like getting in touch with the Holy Spirit again. The encounter was fun and cool in a way. I have learnt about giving all I can to God.
Pastor Roland said that if we want the Holy Spirit, just two words and we’ll get it:
“I WANT!!â€
Though I didn’t really felt the Holy Spirit, I still want more. I guess it’s just living in faith each day and disciplining ourselves. Without them, I guess everything that we want to achieve spiritually will just be gone. There may be certain struggles in my life but I really pray sincerely that it will be broken.
During the encounter, I also remember during a session, the guides spent the whole night folding hearts. And on those hearts, there were different verses from different books in the Bible. It was given to each one of us, as our Heavenly Father’s love letter to us. It was just so meaningful, I mean, how often do we get that from our earthly fathers?
The encounter was just great or rather indescribable. Overall, I believe that we really need to work on the faith inside of us. Mark 4:35-41 says that Jesus was in the boat with his disciples sailing to the other side. Suddenly, a storm approached. Jesus was sleeping in the stern calmly. His disciples woke him up and panicked. The disciples said: “Jesus, don’t you care if we drown?†Jesus got up and rebuked the wind and said to the waves: “Quiet! Be Still!†and the wind stopped and it was completely calm. Jesus then said to the disciples: “Why are you so afraid? Have you no faith?†They were terrified and asked each other: “Who Is He? Even the wind and the waves obey him!â€
Sometimes I ask myself, how can anyone’s faith be so strong, to the extend of rebuking the waves. But with God, anything is possible. And as I said, I really believe that it is with faith and works that we can get to God. I thank God for the encounter and I pray that each and every one of us will have the faith that Jesus had when calming the storm. Amen.

Encounter again!! Woohoo! It’s always great when a bunch of people come together to seek God… coz the bible says that when two or more are gathered in His name, there He will be in their midst….. All the more God’s presence will be there when a whole bunch of us are gathered in His name! hahah!!!
This entry will be slightly different coz it will be shared from the perspective of a guide. More will come from the encountees later…
Since this EW was anchored by our own pastors, all of the guides are 自己人, so it really felt like a family afair. We had a lot of fun together… playing and laughing thru the Game of Life, and also the crazy time we all had in the Log room writing cards for our people! Hahah! What a lovely bunch of bros and sisters i have! hahah! Even have new nicknames for some… heehee….
I fell sick after the first night and the amazing thing was, while my physical body was down, my spirit was high! God still used me to minister and impart to the guys. During sessions i would be sneezing and trying to concentrate, but when it came to ministry time the sneezing would miraculously stop and i was like just moving in the spirit. At the Holy Spirit session God was so cute! Made all of us guides laugh! hahaha! All of us had stomachache after! hahahah…
I was telling Huihui tat at this encounter i felt so relaxed…. like i wasnt a guide! Hahaha! Maybe coz i was sick and physically i wasnt like able to do a lot of things thru my own strength. But the Holy Spirit just took over! WOW! Talk about partnering with the Holy Spirit! Its indeed much easier to lend on God’s strength…
Interested to know what EW is like and experience God?? Sign up now for the next one! And encounter God!!!!!

My account for the dedication service.
I remembered the prayer i made the moment i stepped out of the plane, which was: “Lord, we have done our part and now its up to you.” This was a significant day becos it was the day of BB/GB dedication service. Meaning the primers will come down to the Max Pavilion for our youth service. Well the working part of me started questioning the numbers of Primers coming of which how many from the NDP work and how many from the rest of the Primers or thru the dedicated calling structure that we have done up. Yet deep in my heart was the kind of peace that you know comes from God.
So I asked Him,” Lord are you pleased?”
“Yes” was His reply.
Ok lah, now i am very relaxed for the whole event. But i must pity my young primers, i have a feeling they were somewhat avoiding me becos they were all afraid of telling me the attendance. In total we had 78 students that came, praise the Lord! Though it was not as high as i hoped (100 was my personal target) but these are 78 lives that had a chance to sit in and listen to the word of God preached to them. Well after service, we had a post program that included a tribe time, Dan&Eve tribe with SP.Primers and Daniel&Pauline tribe with NP Primers. Afterwhich we all gathered as a big Primers family to have more fun and games and even had MacDonalds!
I give thanks to God for the 78 that came, not just for the numbers, but it is a testimony to God’s grace at SP for the past year. We started out with a handful of year 2s, most of whom have other companies that they are serving in, i even have one OC in my company(which is one of the key appointment holders in a BB company) We knew that we had to start somewhere and this bunch of guys stood with us for one full year.
So from almost zero person that we started off with, until the present average attendance (100 odd) for major events (78 for the enrolment service makes up more than 10% attendance of the BB/GB family in FCBC), it has been a journey full of grace for us all.
Thank God for sustaining this work and transforming this land that was once a hard ground for BB to flourish into a major CCA in SP.
More will come from this land right? hahaha
Amen!

Â
Ju!m-riap-sooi! sok sa bai my friends?
(hello)Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â (how are u)
Or-kuhn (thank u) for staying tune with Juan’s blog: http://www.startrekker-phnompenh.blogspot.com/. Currently Juan not been updating her blog cos’ Juan just realized that she has forgotten her username via password… (*v*)
Anyway…now proudly present to u my girl friend from Cambodia. She’s Juan colleague and has been working in the Embassy for 6 years liao (waaahhhh…) Her name is Chan Thy (Ooops! nearly forgot to intro her…hai, I still the same…).
Â
[Side-track]Discovery:
Juan found that the girls here are so, so, so, small in size. The girls that Juan met are not more than 1.6m (BloGina…u can find comfort here). [another side-track: BloGina, Chan Thy says that u look like them leh… cos’ u’re d*r*]. Anyway, Juan looks like a giant standing with them *sob sob*
Â
Thank God for blessing this friendship with Chan Thy. She’s the same age as Juan, young and pretty as Juan…but fairer than Juan.. There’s always a purpose for God to put friendship together. God uses her to reveal to Juan on the G12 vision that Juan has not see it, which she’s still trying not to see it/understand with her own intellectual or logical reasoning but thru spiritual eyes. A simple question of ‘Can Juan be Chan Thy’s friend FOREVER’ scared Juan off for quite a moment. Juan did not have the courage to commit to this question as it would means commitment, life-time guarantee, no turning back!!! Then, Juan felt that an angel and a devil were wrestling on this topic in her mind…God reminded Juan that she has asked to see the land and now he has let her see it, and next, to see is to possess it! Juan already have a heart for Chan Thy and wanting to minister to her. It’s the right time!! Pls pray along with Juan that Chan Thy will receive her salvation.
BTW, Juan may come back S’pore in Dec (if leave approve) with Chan Thy. Precious, pls lay red carpet for us!!
Here is Juan’s other Cambodian colleagues
(Do Re Me Fa…ha ha ha)
Interesting Discovery:
2 meows just outside Juan’s hotel (juan staying at the 3rd flr). Juan wondered 2 things:
1)Â Â Â Â Â how the meow manage to climb onto the roof?
2)Â Â Â Â Â What did the white meow want to do with the spot meow?
Finally, after taking pictures, Juan thought that it would be wiser to close the windows. In case the meows decided to do any stunt by jumping into Juan’s room.

RL 288 meeting was brought forward this week (those who did not read email one… kena liao)…because Pastor Rol wanted to share with us what God put in his heart during his recent trip to AUSTRALIA~ so shiok… MC also want….

(Handsome right…?)
Anyway, heeding the call to catch a new heartbeat… MC made his way to Touch Centre Level 3… worship was led by HARVEY~!!!!! Go Brudder!!!!!
Â
(Mental Note: Next time take picture try not to have water bottle at bottom right corner…)Â
As MC joined in the Worship, God’s presence came and ministered to MC’s heart especially during this song….
Let’s take time to wait upon the Lord~
Let’s take time to listen to His voice~
Unless the Lord builds the house ~
They labour in vain~
Let’s take time to listen to His voice~

MC believes God is going to speak to RL tribe in a very personal way today… (though MC felt quite awkward that he must walk around during worship to take pictures… please understand… BloGina up the standard… now blog must have photographs….) Â
After worship, Paster Rol shared some testimonies of famous people… Darlene Zchech (OOOoooooooo~)… and Israel Houghton (Ahhhhhhhhh~ He is a friend of God…) whom Pastor Roland met in person (WAHHHHHH~!!!! Real life… not wax ok!!!)…. MC was especially touched when Pastor shared Israel Houghton’s testimony…. God is always like that…. He is so loving and so clever that nothing is ever too small and He will never fail to work His wonders and do His magic in our lives…. He knew us even when we were in our mother’s womb~ (Jeremiah 1:5)…. MC thought… no one to God is without purpose…. no one is an accident…. no one is extra…. hmmm….
After the short sharing, Pastor Rol showed us a teaching video by Darlene Zchech which was about worship…

MC got pay attention… (-_-)
MC is touched when Darlene Zchech brought a timely reminder that Worship is the response after seeing what Jesus has done for you on the cross…. It is not about performance…. It is about service….. and extravagance… Extravagant service to Jesus just like the woman who came to pour on Jesus feet and wet Jesus’ feet with her tears and clean them with her hair (Luke 7:36-50)….. The level of extravagance of this woman’s worship was acknowledged and commended by Jesus…. What kind of worship do we bring to God?… Hmmmm….
Pastor Rol later made some announcements about the upcoming events… yes… it looks like it is going to be very busy…. and it will take up a lot of MC’s time…. and strength… but thank God for what that was shared in this meeting…. the attitude of King David’s worship….
But the king replied to Araunah, “No, I insist on paying you for it. I will not sacrifice to the LORD my God burnt offerings that cost me nothing.” (2 Samuel 24:24)
Till next time… buai buai (-_-)y

I used to have a dream for God – to serve full time in ministry; using drama as an evangelistic tool to serve the nations and reach out to youths. It was during 2003 that I told God my dream because I saw the power of drama as a tool to touch youths.
By God’s grace, I was given lots of platform to do evangelistic performing arts events. Be it looking at a script, or thinking of how to direct my casts or planning the nitty gritty stuffs that goes into the event, I often thought to myself that if only I can do this full time.
Over the next two years, I tried all means to get to where I wanted but only to discover the doors were truly shut. As time passed by, this dream seemed to become so out of reach. Although deep in my heart, I knew that God work for the good to those who love him, and mentors around me were telling me to hang on there, those times of breaking were unbearable.
I guess at that time, God was really preparing me and teaching me about His faithfulness. He is not looking for people with talents or gifts but a surrendered heart who understood His faithfulness; who understood apart from Him, he/she can do nothing. With that person, He can fully entrust him/her to do His will.
In December 2005, the Lord gave me 2 verses: “Until now, you have not asked anything in my name, ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find” and “Delight yourself in the Lord and He will grant you the desires of your heart”.
I knew in my heart that the Lord wants to bless me with my desires. I began to pluck up all my courage to boldly ask God to bless me. I told Him my desire is to be blessed with a job I fully enjoyed which is to do full time ministry yet making use of my giftings and talents.Â
However, it was another six months of waiting and praying for this ” enlarged territory”. I sent 3 times to an organisation that I wanted most. But there was no reply and again the door was shut. Thank God over the two years, I have learnt that if God opens a door, no one can close it and if He closes a door, no one can open it.
So it was really holding on to believe that He will bless me with this “enlarged territory”. Frankly, I struggled because it was a season of trusting, rising up in faith but yet there were no signs of what is ahead of me. There were so many times, I cried and ask God when?
Just when I gave up the total idea of applying for my preferred organisation, in June 2006, I received an sms from a manager from a christian organisation that asked me for a job interview. I have totally forgotten over this position that I applied for and had to check out the website for more information.
To my surprise, the interview went on smoothly and I was shortlisted for second round of interview and after the second round I was being offered the job. I wasn’t very excited when I got the job simply because I really did not know what to expect but I thank God for His favour.
Never did I expect on my first day of work, I was told that one of my profiles were actually organising a purely evangelistic event to reach out to youths! And the manager whom i reported to, have a heart to reach people for Christ as well. As she was telling me about hoping to market and brand the company performing arts events to serve the nations and using it as a platform to do outreach, i became so excited. It was then I was reminded of my dream in 2003.
Overall, I was so awed by the Lord’s faithfulness. In fact, He is a God who remembers. I have long forgotten about my dream but He revived my dream. Looking back, the season of breaking was necessary, all my past job experiences were necessary to prepare and equip me to further His kingdom. Now I got exactly what I prayed for -Â a job that does performing arts events to reach out to youths.
Are you trusting God for something or breakthrough that has not come to pass?
Don’t lose heart, because we serve a faithful God. He is holding your hand and He promises to not leave you nor forsake you. I am convinced that it is not our might or strength but it is His faithfulness that the blessings of Jabez be manifested in our lifes.
Hebrews 12:1-3 “Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.”

I had the privilege to attend the Hillsongs Conference last week from 2nd – 9th July 2006. Hillsongs church is well known and loved by all of us for their strong worship ministry and I definitely expected strong spirit-filled anointing sessions (which we did). What I did not expect was the strong creative flavour that the church could come up with. Hillsongs were also celebrating their 20th anniversary of conferences. This resulted in world-renowned speakers and worship teams that packed a punch. All of them were exceptional and different in many ways yet similar in one – Their passion for the lost.
Over the short period of 5 days, we saw the fiery passion of Reinhard Bonnke, inspiring Jentzen Franklin, thought-provoking Bill Hybels (love this guy), deep-thinking Frank Damazio, refreshing Matthew Barnett and of course Rick Warren. Guest worship leaders and teams like Delirious, Israel Houghton & Newbreed (Friend of God) and Cindy Ratcliff(We speak to nations). Of course this list is not limited.Â

I took home many important lessons and was very blessed from the entire conference.
One of which is this, what is the thing that wrecks your heart? It could be the very same thing that wrecks the heart of God. This one thing that grabs you by the throat and makes you stand up to do something about. It is this that aligns our heart with God and causes us to be so passionate about. One lesson that jumped in front of my face is this, when we find our holy discontentment that’s when we can be so passionate for a particular ministry and serve with fire and fervor.
Have you found what your Holy Discontentment is?

The SP 1728 Truth Encounter was a family time filled with warmth and laugher personally for me as I sat under the teaching/sharing of the spiritual father of FCBC – Pastor Khong on Evangelism, the Doctrine of the Bible and updates on his involvement in the media market. Â
In the midst of laugher (Ps Khong is so funny!!); I was especially touched by Pastor Khong’s obedience to be in the center of God’s will despite all circumstances. Standing before me is a man who really walks by faith, trusting God for the impossible…. As “FCBC-iansâ€, we should be proud to have a pastor that leads by example – stepping into the unseen by faith!
Not only was I touched by Pastor Khong’s obedience, I walked away from this 2-days meeting with a deeper level of understanding on the whole meaning of having Miracle Catch. I was once again reminded of God’s heartbeat for the lost and the need to know who my oikos are and where my territory is…
Through this meeting, I realize that over the years, my circle of friends has become smaller and there is a need for me to enlarge my circle of friends. This also made me ponder over the question – “Where’s your territory?†that Pastor Lai Fun asked me during the previous G12 meeting as we started on the Jabez prayer. Jabez knew where his territory was when he prayed that prayer. But for me… All this while, I have been praying to God asking Him to enlarge my territory when I don’t even know where my territory is. This made me recognize that I need to start identifying my territory.
How about you? Do you know where your territory is? Do you know who your oikos are? If not, let’s start asking God to show us our territories and our oikos and make evangelism a daily lifestyle!
