“Despite the short event ‘runway’, the successful fruitions of Structure Experience (SE), Grand Dinner. Logistics and Administration etc were the sowing results of the various groups of committees. I boast in pride, of my family, of every member in it. For each of them has shown us, God’s loving character by serving the RL288 family. Yet, beyond these physical activities, I thank God even more for the Word of God shared during the sessions which I believe…will accomplish what God desire as mentioned in Isaiah55:11. There were many exciting blessings from God, of which I shall name two:

i) It was raining. God aroused the faith of the committee to pray. Wearing sunglasses and looking up the sky, rebuking the dark clouds to leave, asking God to show the sun and dry the place-while rain-drops kept falling on our heads. Yet, despite all these acts of Faith, nothing beats seeking God for His Will for the S.E programme. I happy to acknowledge that the Father’s Will was to continue our dry weather programme. We realized that Faith is not denying the weather that sweeps over our lives. It is believing that behind the clouds and beyond the storms waits a Faithful God!

ii) During the 2nd and 3rd session, God showered His love and affirmed His love for me. In seeking God’s heart, tears began to flow down, when I least expected it…a moment when heavens was opened and God reminded me the strongest evidence of His Love, was the sacrifice that brought remission of sin through Jesus Christ.

I am blessed and refreshed to know that my life is in God’s transforming process and “He who began a good work in us will carry it on to completion until the day of Jesus Christ!” Amen!”

“Honestly I did not look forward to the camp as usual. Morever, this time round, I have an added on responsibility to organise the SE. However, the Lord is faithful even when I am faithless. I am once again amazed by His faithfulness. The rain came when we are starting out the lunch section of SE but it stopped after we prayed. At that point of time, I know deep in my heart that only God could help us. It is such helplessness that brought my total dependence on Him. Though it drizzled after the lunch, I felt a deep sense of peace knowing that I can totally depend on Him. During the session on Saturday night, the Lord also bless me with a simple truth, that is, I need to love Jesus in all that I do. Simple but very impactful to me. Thank God. I am glad I was there at the RL288 retreat, going deep wth the Lord.”

“Not only is the God we serve faithful, He also love us incredibly! The theme of this retreat is “Go DEEP”. Truly, during the session on the 2nd night, the Lord’s presence and love was so so strong! There was a deep longing He created in me for Him. His love touched me so deeply I can only cry, during worship, through out the whole of pastor’s sermon and the rest of the night as I prayed. God brought forth a change this retreat; to desire Him more daily. Not only that, He is also challenging me to lead a surrendered life. Each time I struggled to go my own way or cannot let go of certain things, He will gently remind me that nothing I possess belongs to me in the first place. I found true victory in surrendering! I am excited! To live a life of daily denying self, taking up my cross and following Jesus, and to see Him do great things in me, and through me! God is so good!”

“The camp was a challenging one for me as there were not enough people to help out in the logistics but everyone was kind and helpful as they chipped in when possible. That’s the family spirit! Even though I missed out some parts of the teachings, God was there to teach me and bring me deeper into some of these teachings. I had received a lot in this camp and I pray that God will continue to work in my life and integrate these teachings and experiences into my very being. One of the lessons I learnt was during one of the worship sessions and it’s that God had to pay a heavy price so that I can come into His presence. The fullness of His wrath was brought unto Jesus so that the fullness of His love could be lavish onto men.”

“Being part of the SE team allowed me to understand the different gifts and talents God has placed in my cell group. Many times, we will try to propagate the truth that each member of the spiritual family needs to depend on one another through the sharing of the word, or ironically through structured experience, but this entire camp is like a Structured Experience to me. I had seen with my own eyes and experienced myself the truth that we need to lean on each other. Personally I need to accept my weaknesses and the need for me to rely on others. Not in the spirit of condemnation, but in the spirit of humility and joy. I was only able to respond in such a way because the Lord is pleased with my heart and what I had done.”

“I want to thank God for His provision in this retreat! Being a first-timer, planning this retreat was no easy task for me. To top it all, we seem to be lacking in everything. Not enough time, not enough money, not enough manpower, not enough food, not enough camp booklets.. (and the list goes on..) But God is our Jehovah Jireh and He is a faithful God! Not only did He meet our needs, He blessed us with abundance. Thank God!!
