DT11:24 Every place where you set your foot will be yours

Following the 100k campaign, we will be embarking on praying for our land – specifically for us in YouthNet, for all the schools and educational institutions in Singapore.

Education shapes our minds, leads us to the Creator of all knowledge and truth. Young minds shaped to recognize God’s hand in schools become humble with a thirst for knowledge – in order to know the Infinite God.

Yet this starts when christians all over head God’s voice and start to pray for our schools. Teachers, students, parents, all who bear God’s heartbeat for the land.

Here’s a sample plan for a 25-min prayer walk

  1. Worship & enthrone Jesus as you walk about your school. Welcome the Holy Spirit into your school (5 mins)
  2. Speak and bless the leadership, key appointment holders of the school/s by name, MOE, NIE (1 Tim 2:1-3) (5 mins)
  3. Bless the students of the school, pray for the knowledge of God to fill their minds and hearts (5 mins)
  4. Dedicate yourself & your work to the Lord. You are a minister in the school (5 mins)
  5. Find a place to sit and listen to the Holy Spirit speak to you. Journal down (5 min)

Other Pointers

  1. This is a simple act of blessing our schools as teachers. Do not make it into a public affair & raise unnecessary attention.
  2. You can get fellow believing teachers to join you and pray in pairs or threes.
  3. God wants to bless your school! So enjoy the time and prayerwalk with Jesus
  4. Inform your G12 Leader for accountability

HAB 2:14 For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

Written by Pastor Yeang Cherng, taken with permission from Dreamers Movers Shakers.

Hi all,

My name is Shixiong, from Pastor Danny Lee’s tribe.

I am currently working at
Hitachi, Kaki Bukit, as a Quality Assurance engineer at their material science lab.

I am here to do a sharing of my experience during this season of 100K blessing, at my workplace. As Hitachi is a large MNC, the JTC blocks we occupied have offices and manufacturing floors on every level. Having worked there for the past 3 years, I had the opportunity to work with many different kinds of people.

It has been tough…and many a times I felt swarmed and overwhelmed.

I felt lost, in this sea of people.

I didn’t understand, until now of course, this very “sea of people”, represents the abundance of a harvest field! And like how Ed Silvoso shared from Romans 8:19, the creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed.” The earlier 3 day conference with Jackin Pullinger, also showed me God’s heart and compassion for people.

Even though I signed up as part of the 5000 warriors, I was still quite apprehensive about the 100K challenge.

On the 1st day of the 100K blessing campaign, I took a really long time to get “ready” before I approach my 1st colleague. I was really unsure what will happen.

Was half expecting my 1st colleague to raise an eyebrow and be skeptical. But to my surprise, the pamphlet was very well received by her, and I spend a good 15 to 20 minutes talking to her, about her struggling with her children, coping with anxiety attacks and requested that I “bless” her with peace. Towards the end, I was able to pray for her, right there in my office.

I felt really thankfully that God has used me to bless one person. I thought to myself “Phew…I have at least one now!” I didn’t realize that God would then use me to bless many others….throughout the week. Many of my colleagues were open to share their needs and it is through their sharing, that I got to know the other private side of their lives.

Many were receptive to me praying for them openly, in my workplace. I could sense a spiritual climate change in my office. Being able to pray for so many colleagues, at my workplace, was a true paradigm shift.

However, there was a particular day during this campaign that impacted me the most, which I would like to share.

The story goes like this.

I never thought anyone would reject the 100K blessings, so it is with this thought that I approached this particular colleague. Not only did he refuse to be blessed, but he ridiculed the idea and made many discouraging comments. He criticized the use of some Chinese wordings on the cover page of the pamphlet and went on to talk about how prayers are like a false hope we give ourselves to make things better.

In the brief 5 minutes of talking to him, I repeatedly explained my desire, which is to simply bless him. He ended off by saying he doesn’t need any prayers, and that we should solve things based on what is logically possible. I walk away from his desk, feeling discouraged by his response.

As I went back to my office, I seek the Lord and asked Him what He was trying to teach me. As I sat at my work desk, God impressed upon my heart to Luke chapter 10:1-16.

Luke 10:1-16 1 After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go. 2 He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. 3 Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves. 4 Do not take a purse or bag or sandals; and do not greet anyone on the road. 5 “When you enter a house, first say, ‘Peace to this house.’ 6 If a man of peace is there, your peace will rest on him; if not, it will return to you. 7 Stay in that house, eating and drinking whatever they give you, for the worker deserves his wages. Do not move around from house to house. 8″When you enter a town and are welcomed, eat what is set before you. 9 Heal the sick who are there and tell them, ‘The kingdom of
God is near you.’
10 But when you enter a town and are not welcomed, go into its streets and say, 11 ‘Even the dust of your town that sticks to our feet we wipe off against you.

Yet be sure of this: The kingdom of God is near.’ 12 I tell you, it will be more bearable on that day for Sodom than for that town. 13″Woe to you, Korazin! Woe to you,
Bethsaida! For if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.
14 But it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment than for you. 15 And you, Capernaum, will you be lifted up to the skies? No, you will go down to the depths. 16″He who listens to you listens to me; he who rejects you rejects me; but he who rejects me rejects him who sent me.”

The Lord showed me that when He sends out the 72, He told the 72, that they will meet two groups of people and He made a distinction between them. The 1st group of people is the “man of peace”, whereas the 2nd group is people who are not the “man of peace”. And Jesus gave instructions on what to do when they met and identified any one of the two groups. The Lord Himself, by this, meant that we will face both welcomes and rejections, as we represent Him.Moreover, Jesus said in verse 6, “If a man of peace is there, your peace will rest on him; if not, it will return to you.”  If your blessings are rejected, it will be returned to us (verse 6). We have nothing to lose. However, it’s our responsibility to continue representing Him. After reading the passage, I felt assured and was encouraged once again, to continue and approach other colleagues. And not feel discouraged and give up.

So in the very same day (afternoon), I plucked up courage again to approach another lady in my office. She is a pre-believer, and a colleague from Malaysia who performs traveling to and fro Johor and Singapore every day.

She appeared very interested throughout my “100k explanation”. She asked if she could bring some of my pamphlets home so that I can pray and bless her family members as well. Initially, I told her that we can still write down the prayer requests for her family, and squeeze them all on a single pamphlet, the one that was meant for her.

However, she was insistent and said it would be good for every family member of hers, to receive a specific individual blessing. So I agreed to pass her some pamphlets and “trained” her in how to do the 100k explanation, and in what portions of the pamphlet to fill up and so forth. In total, she took home 8 pamphlets that day, not including the pamphlet that was meant for her.

After praying for her, I was in awe and asked the Lord again, what He was showing me this time round. He led me again to Luke 10:1-16, but this time to verses 5 to 9. The Lord showed me that when we meet a man of peace, he will welcome you and you are to stay in his house. Staying at his house would mean eating and drinking, with him and with the rest of his family. It would mean having fellowship with the household. As a man of peace welcomes you, you have access to an open door in this man of peace’s entire family.

In a single day, I was shown the contrast between a man of peace and one who is not a man of peace.

This lady colleague from Malaysia, after 2 days, returned all the pamphlets, bearing the names of her parents and her siblings, with every portion filled up. Through her, I was able to pray for and bless her entire family, even though they are all staying at Kota Tinggi, which is across the causeway! Because of the openness this colleague has shown, I was able to proclaim, just like in verse 9, that the kingdom of God has come near them.

I met many other “man of peace” following that day. One colleague asked for a pamphlet to bring home for her husband, to pray for his job; another colleague from Malaysia, also asked for pamphlets for her mother and sibling staying in another part of Johor. Another colleague was very touched when I prayed for her, as she was going through a difficult time in her relationship with her fiancée and they had been recently talking about reconsidering their marriage plans. At her desk, I was able to share with her that marriage was God’s plan right from the beginning and God was the officiator of the 1st recorded marriage in the bible. That God will bring to her, the mate in her life, if she would just trust God, which is the item I prayed there and then.

I want to share with you that when you met a man of peace, God says an entire family or household becomes open to us!

And the rest here are other thanksgivings:

1. I prayed for a two expecting mother colleagues on separate occasions and they were receiving prayers for their unborn child; one of them right in the office, the other on the bus to work.

2. A pre-believing colleague was touched by my prayers that he stapled the pamphlet onto his cubicle wall and said it would remind him the blessings I have given him, when he is at his desk.

3. Some colleagues said “yes” when I asked them the opening question if they have heard the 100k blessing, because word has been going out in the office that I have been blessing people these past few days. Because word has been going around, I had some colleagues who came to my desk on their own, asking for prayers. At one time, I had 5 colleagues who came over specifically to share their needs.

4. I sense many of my colleagues had become open and our relationship became more personal, than just purely a working related.

Till now, I’ve managed to bless 52 people in my company. Indeed church begins on Monday. Praise be to God!

What i’ve learnt being a Frontliner IC is that to not be afraid to speak out and say, “Welcome to FCBC, GOD bless you!” I think a lot of people starting off are sometimes a bit daunted to happily shout this every week. But i realise, it’s important because people genuinely see that they are welcomed and both the shouter and the person he/she is shouting to are blessed. And it is very encouraging when people respond back. So the next time you see someone welcome you, do reply, “GOD bless you too!”

Serving in frontliner has opened my eyes wider to realise how I was like every time when I walked passed a person carrying an umbrella and shouting, “God bless you, welcome to FCBC!” I would most probably just smile or say, “Thanks.” And now I realise how much joy it can bring not only to the people walking past me but also to myself! It’s so amazing that I wanted to bless more and eager to speak when I found the joy in blessing others. Indeed it is more blessed to give than to receive. =)

This is my 3rd time doing hospitality duty. Serving in hospitality team let me learn that it’s always a joy to serve regardless of where we serving. I always enjoy doing hospitality duty especially doing sector A. It’s very encouraging each time that I see the new believers walking past us to go to the consolidation area. It’s a great joy to see how many new lives are saved and rededicated to God each week.

This time round when doing the duty, I am very encouraged by one old lady from the Chinese service. When we were lining up outside the gate saying goodbye to the people from the Chinese service, there was this one old lady who went to shake the hands of all the people on my side (11 people). To me, it really brightened up my day and made me feel so happy. She didn’t just shake our hands, but she added a bright smile and word of blessing. It made me feel whenever we come out of service hearing those on hospitality duty greeting us goodbye and God bless, do we react to it or just don’t bother about it. This old lady really made me do some reflecting. She really set an example for all of us. Even an old lady like her made an effort to greet those on duty and shake their hands. Why can’t we, teenagers full of energy, do that? To those on duty, a simple word back from the people is so encouraging as it makes us feel that people recognise our effort to serve and our existing.

Most importantly, it is also a time of fellowship with our fellow brothers and sisters from the cluster. When we serve in the hospitality team, it is not just about serving the people going for service, but serving the others who are in the hospitality team as well. On top of that, it is also a time of fellowship and getting to know people from our cluster. Normally we won’t really notice and say hi to all those in our own cluster, or even to an extent that we may not even know that certain people are around or in our cluster. It made me realise we got to make use of every opportunity and chance to try make more friends and get to know people from our cluster. We need to break out from our own comfort zone to make more friends, what more to say about our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.

Lastly i want say thanks to all fellow brothers and sisters serving in the hospitality team, especially the head of each sector as they served for 1 whole month. God bless all of you. And thank God for this wonderful & great family. =]

On the 22nd of July, the ROLLED cluster gathered in Omega Room 1 and 2 for a time to spur one another to PRESS ON in the 100K Blessing Campaign. One and a half weeks had gone… Some of us had finished blessing 20 people and more. Some of us were only able to bless a few. Nevertheless, all of us had started and were determined to be faithful and finished the race.

As we gathered together, testimonies were shared and prayers were uttered. It was a time of encouragement. Here are the testimonies shared…

Matthew 28:18 – 20 (100K Campaign)
Go and make disciples… baptizing… teaching them… I AM WITH YOU…  100K campaign to me was a journey of walking close to God, partnering with the Holy Spirit and understanding His heartbeat and desire to use us to be His blessings.

From the start, 100K didn’t kick off as fast as I will like. Part of the reasons is that I was trying to overcome my own inertia and partly I feel that I need to start this 100K by praying. Hence at the end of the week, I only managed to bless one person. Nonetheless, the Lord is gracious. As I took time to wait upon Him, He reveals to me the numerous opportunities that He has given to me to bless and that I have completely missed His open doors. One good example is on one occasion, I sms a contact that I knew in my previous job and eventually found out that she is in the hospital. To many, this is an excellent time to share with her the 100K campaign, somehow it didn’t occur to me till some time later.

Learning from the mistakes the Lord reveal to me on the 1st week, my prayer to God is that Lord please help me to be sensitive to your leading and prompting. The 1st breakthrough came on the 17th August, Tuesday where I have the honor to pray for my younger brother on His 26th Birthday!! Originally I wanted to share with him the 100K 2 days ago but he was at the chalet without my prior knowledge. When I finished praying for him I realized the significance of why God did not allow me to pray for him earlier but instead on His birthday!! I knew in my heart God care and will be with me in this journey. My faith grew and I began to be sensitive to His leading     The next few days that followed was really Spirit lead.

One instance is that I managed to pray for a stranger I meet at the bus stop in a funny circumstance and I believe only God can orchestrate this!! There are only 2 of us sitting in the bus stop, one on each benches and both waiting for 196. What happen next was that there came 3 buses back to back of the same route number – 16. Now, how many times does this ever occur to you. The moment we realized this, the only reaction we had is to turn to each other and frown. Knowing in my spirit that this is the prefect opening God has created; I jumped into starting a conversation with him. In the short time we had, I discovered

- We stay very near one another- He came from the same home town and the same fishing village as my dad- His sister is a Christian – His concern for looking a new job

And of course I end up sharing the 100K and keeping him in prayer

Other open doors from God were

-          Went back camp for 2 hours and managed to pray for my 2 sergeants because it was raining heavily and they decided to wait for me to fetch me out from the camp
-          Given a sumptuous treat at Chijmes by an ex-colleague and then sharing the 100K with her after the treat
-          Received  an sms from a friend who went overseas since January and never got in touch with me till the very same day I have no one to bless and am asking God for open door

To end, just want to encourage you all that when we make ourselves available to God echoing to Him our desire to want to bless, step out in faith and be sensitive to His leading. The Lord will be with you and 100k campaign is no longer difficult to accomplish! In fact, this journey will be equally a blessing to you seeing God moved in your life as it is to the people you bless!!! STEP OUT in this rewarding journey for GOD!!

To God be the glory!

At the start of the year, when I filled out the Warrior of light matrix, I filled up in the family portion, that my whole family would accept Christ and we could all worship God together as a family. I thought it was almost a gone case situation as my parents haven’t been completely open about coming to church. However the 100K campaign proved otherwise and have inspired me to continue praying for a breakthrough in my family.

On the Sunday last week before coming to church, I approached my grandmother and offered to bless her. I was afraid that she would reject me and she would say it’s alright, that she could pray for herself. To my surprise, my grandmother was rather forthcoming and she went ‘WHOA. YOUR CHURCH IS DOING THIS BLESSING THING ARH? OK BLESS ME BLESS ME!’. I went through the list with her, and she ticked most of the boxes including the box labeled eternal life! Thank God! I couldn’t believe my ears at first and had to ask her again and she said yes, she was very sure. Hence she prayed the sinners’ prayer, and I handed the remaining slip to her and told her to pray it every night. When I came home from church that night, she conscientiously asked me how to pronounce every single word and read the whole prayer out asking me whether it sounded alright!

On that same Sunday, I managed to bless my relatives too. I intended to bless my Aunt and cousins but I wasn’t sure when I would see them, so I wanted to do the blessing campaign by phone, however their phones were engaged. I felt like giving up, but on my way home from service, my cousin text messaged me to come home quickly, as they were coming over to visit.

Upon rushing and reaching home, I promptly whipped out my 100K blessing cards, and blessed my aunt and cousin. My uncle wasn’t so open about it but my aunt actually persuaded him and encouraged him to receive the blessing, exclaiming ‘ you lau pek kong, leg everyday pain, let her bless you with health la ‘. Although he still refused eventually, I’m convicted to keep praying for him.

My mum and dad were also open about it, my mum insisting that she wanted more and more blessings, even some which they did not need! My dad also told my mum that he would like to go to church regularly and volunteer in church after he has retired. Thanks be to God!

God has also let the hearts of my friends be open to the 100K campaign. Previously when I asked classmates to go to church, the response would more often be no, or another time. But this time, many of my friends welcomed the idea, and a classmate by the name of Nigel whom I wanted to bless, but he was busy and told me later. I forgot about it until he even reminded me about it! Thank God that my friends open to receive blessings in this 100K campaign!

This weekend, Candy checked with me the number of blessings I have done and whether I wanted more 100K blessing cards. I was afraid and worried that there was no one else for me to bless. But thank God, He prompted me to bless the entire Prefectorial board, and many more others! I intend to start right now, and not rest till I finish blessing the entire Prefectorial board.

May this inspire you to go forth and be a warrior of light. Seize the opportunities to let the world know about God!

God Bless,
