“He is so funny and lively.”
“He is passionate”
“He is energetic”
“He is focus”
“He is engaging”
If you can only use one word to describe him, these are some words that will spring up. Pastor Roland Lee, more affectionately known as Pastor Rol. He is a father who lends his listening ears to those who needs it. He sees each person in a positive light and never doubts our potential.
Pastor Rol gave up his career in MINDEF when he stepped into full-time ministry in 1998. With a special heart for the youths, especially the soldiers, he has since faithfully served many of the youths from Touch Forces, A-teams and poly ministry. I could still remember vividly when he once shared that he wants to be like the chaplain in Saving Private Ryan, saving the souls of soldiers in SAF. In 2001, God answered his prayers and he was appointed as Chaplain by Military Christian Fellowship.
Ps Rol is also the live wire in the cluster. With his unique sense of humour he is able to bring out much liveliness in his sharing and teachings during Camps, Cluster meetings and SOL lessons. His uncanny way of injecting humour into his teachings has effectively engaged and touched both the youth and adults without compromising on the Truth.
Finally, Pastor is not just a funny pastor, he is a serious one as well. He is serious about God. He dares to dream big dreams and surrender them to the Lord. Being the pastor over the celebration ministry, he could testify of God’ grace that has brought his dream to pass as he has dreamt of leading worship on the platform. Apart from being a man of big dreams, he is also a man of great faith. He not only dares to ask God and have the faith to believe that God will bring them to pass. He strongly believes that as we abide in Him and He abides in us, much will be accomplished to glorify His name.
