When the world adores a “fast-paced” society with everything ready and done with a snap of the finger, Pastor Lee Lai Fun chooses to put her trust in God in every aspect of her life as she patiently waits for the Lord to unfold the plans He has for her. One evident aspect will be her relationship with Pastor Roland. She waited prayfully for 2 years for God’s confirmation before even dating Pastor Roland..
Talk about self-control. This woman is one that truly exhibts this!
After receiving Jesus Christ as her Lord and saviour at a tender age of 15, Pastor Lai Fun’s life took a turn and was never the same again. She became seriously involved in serving especially after witnessing the death of her close friend who was a non-believer. This made her realised the futility of a life without Jesus Christ and how important it is to share the gospel with the lost.
Not only is Pastor Lai Fun a woman of self-control.. She is also a woman of faith… A woman who dares to trust God for the impossible.. She started her first ministry in PLMGSS – Paya Lebar Methodist Girls’ Secondary School and since then, the ministry has grown. In fact, some of her 12 comprises of her first cell member and girls from the very ministry she started with. Pastor Lai Fun really knows what is it to be faithful with the little and God has indeed entrusted her with more.
Having an eye for details, Pastor Lai Fun often help us to see beyond the situations. She is an inspiration to many, often reminding us the little details that we tend to forget or neglect be it regarding our ministries or our lives. Under her discipling, I truly understand and received the whole meaning of what is it to be excellent for the Lord in all aspects.
Like most ladies, Pastor Lai Fun loves shopping, travelling and watching a good movie.. She is also a person who loves sports such as swimming, cycling and diving. Her legacy is to raise up a generation of God fearing woman for God.
As I was doing this write-up about my spiritual mother, I was reminded of a bible verse that I see being lived up in Pastor Lai Fun’s life: Jeremiah 17:7 “But blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence.” She is indeed a woman who trusts in the Lord and whose confidence is in Him.
